Laila lettering
If you’re looking for wedding stationary with a personal touch then Christina from Laila Lettering is your gal. She makes gorgeous handmade invites and on-the-day details that are completely unique and beautifully thought through.
Because each piece is bespoke you can have your invites finished off with intricate little details, like ribbons or wax seals. It’s these extras that we think take wedding stationary to the next level. We caught up with Christina herself, to hear a little more about this Scottish wedding supplier from the girl herself. Here’s what she had to say about her boutique wedding company company.
How would you describe your style?
I feel my style can vary from piece to piece. I have to capture each clients own taste and style and channel it through my drawing and writing. It’s what makes each day different.
What makes you different?
My clients. Every single client is the most important part of every design I do! Some leave me with a brief and let me run with it, others give me an insight into what they imagine their design to look like and then leave it with me to take that bit further. Clients are the root of my creativity, which makes everyday and design different!
What do you love most about what you do?
Calligraphy...it’s what started me on this incredible journey! I still find it as therapeutic now writing envelope number 100 as I did when I first started.
What's your favourite part of a wedding?
Watching the couples reaction when they first see each other, when the other appears down the aisle!
Where do your prices start?
My prices start from £1 for hand written place cards and £10 for written bridesmaids proposals...I mean that is the first thing you need to do...find your tribe!
